I can’t say enough about the excellent service from MDP. While completing a 2 year assignment in Germany, I purchased a 2002 F250 with the 7.3 L Powerstroke engine, a dream of mine, but I purchased it online and had no way of personally checking out the truck before moving to our next assignment in Alaska. I started working with Adam and he was very accommodating for our situation, despite me being on the other side of the world he was more than willing to work with me and work through the time zone challenges to get me set for our upcoming roadtrip in the unfamiliar truck. They did a thorough inspection of the truck and put together a recommended service plan. Brandon, the lead mechanic for the work, took excellent care of the truck. They finished the work the day my family and I returned to Michigan from Germany. A few days later, I hit the road fully trusting their detailed work. I have just completed that 5,500 mile, 25 day excursion to an island in Alaska and am happy to report that the truck performed exceptionally well, no doubt in large part due to the maintenance that was performed by Brandon and Adam. I only had one hiccup, when my water pump seized after driving roughly 4700 miles. A few hours in the shop to swap it out and we were back on the road with no further issues. THANK YOU again to Adam, Brandon, and the rest of the team for your support and willingness to work around our complicated military move, ensuring my family and I stayed safe on the road for many, many miles this month!

The team at MDP did a great job with my challenging alignment issue on my 2006 Lexus. Their team was very fair with the quote for the work and very communicative during the repair process. I highly recommend their work and I will be using them again in the future.

I was stranded. And through a series of events I was referred to MDP in Ann Arbor that couldn’t handle a rig my size. Thank goodness for the Jackson shop that I tried to “limp” to but just couldn’t get there so they sent a tow. Another amazing experience and gleaned some useful information. Shuffled to a motel that could only accommodate one night but so kindly shuttled to another. The communication with Corey and Matt was stellar. Beyond 5 ⭐️ And since I still had another 100 miles to get home, they checked in to be sure I made it safely. Can’t say enough about the great experience I had. My pocketbook is crying because of the unexpected but I am not. Great place. Wonderful people. Thank you 🙏🏻 to the moon and back ❤️

Very nice people! They noticed my problem with the truck and got me taken care of and even did an extra job and replaced my CCV filter! Highly recommend this shop! I will be back but hopefully not too soon lol!

Overall, I had a good experience. James and Brian were both friendly, professional, and easy to work with. They helped replaced my rear axle seals, and while the repair took a little longer than expected, that was due to a broken bolt they ran into during the job. I was charged a little extra for the additional work, which I felt was reasonable given the situation, even though it delayed the repair by a day. The only reason I’m not giving a perfect review is that I had asked if they could clean the inside of my rims and tire since they were caked with gear oil from the leaking axle seals. They said they would, but they were still pretty dirty when I picked up my truck. Other than that, the repair seems to have been done well, and I’m happy with the work and happy I may have found a place to keep going back to if I ever need it. I’m also waiting on a quote from them for my exhaust manifolds since my Hemi has the typical cold-start tick. Based on my experience so far, I’d definitely consider using them again. Thanks again to James and Brian for taking care of my truck.

I’m so impressed with the service I received here. Their communication is excellent – while they were taking care of my car, I received regular updates on the status of my vehicle, and ETAs on when it would be done. They also did a very thorough service checklist (complete with photos) of my car. When it came time to approve the repair work after they diagnosed my car’s issue, they gave me an itemized list of everything that needed to be done, with the costs for all of it. It was a very reasonable price for everything, and there were no surprises – the number they gave me was exactly what I paid when I went to pick up my car. I’ll be coming to MDP for all my auto service needs, from now on. Thanks again!

MDP Diesel is excellent. Enough said. They do things right here. They are professional, prompt and always communicate. I was sent a thorough review of my vehicle, video included! A few weeks later, my wife heard a noise coming from the front wheels. We dropped it off thinking it may have been a product of the recent maintenance. They took time out of their schedule to look over the vehicle, make sure things were good. The noise was unrelated, and after some minor lubrication, the noise was gone. They didn’t charge me a thing. They sent me home with a complimentary bag of cookies. Take notes other auto repair shops, these guys have it figured out!

I normally do all the work myself on my truck but with a timing crunch and the cold weather I decided to call MDP diesel to quote a turbo actuator replacement. Matt and Adam were very professional and helpful. The quote they gave was very reasonable and they warranty their work. This made the repair a no brainer. When they got my truck they did a very thorough inspection and found a few items I knew were in need radiator and transmission fluids. I had them do that also along with transmission extra capacity pan and bypass. When I picked my truck up there was a slight issue with the actuator went out on the way home. There was no way they could have known this but they were very nice and had me turn the truck around to fix it. I was very impressed with their quality inspection check list also. It was a great experience and I will most definitely be bringing my truck back for any future repairs. I have been driving the truck now for 2 weeks and towing trailers with it. The truck is running amazing and the transmission has never ran cooler. Thanks MDP! 3/24/26 update towed a 10,000 pound 5th wheel to Tn. At 60 degrees outside going up a grade we never saw the trans temps get much above 130.

On a recent visit from Florida, where I work, to my home state of Michigan to visit family, the AC died in my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I searched around for repair shops and found MDP Auto & Diesel Repair and I’m so glad I did. Mike & Kim and the crew did a fantastic job of getting the AC repaired so I could get back to the Florida heat comfortably. Mike gave me regular updates on the progress of the repairs and the cost was very reasonable. When I retire to my home state of Michigan in the near future, MDP will get all of my vehicle repair and maintenance business. I highly recommend them. Usually my experience with Mechanics is a lot of doubt and skepticism regarding the scope and magnitude of the work suggested. This is the first time in my life I had 100 percent confidence in the job being performed, the integrity of the shop doing the work and the honesty of the price and fees charged. MDP had a communication system via App that was amazingly informative. It kept me abreast of every move, each step of the way with pictures, real time communication and price adjustments, which made the job a seamless experience and quicker than I ever thought possible. A brand new engine literally installed four days. I drove out feeling confident that it was a job well done and I had picked the right shop. Update: I had a separate mechanical issue while in another state I called MDP for a reference and they got on their collaboration system and found me a mechanic that handled all of my issues. MDP then stayed in touch with me and the garage to make sure everything was being handled properly and I was back on the road in no time thank you MDP for going above and beyond. Upon my last visit which was a simple oil changed I was welcomed with a clean new waiting area coffee snacks and A friendly staff. July2025 update: As always the professional team has done it again and needed a complete air-conditioning line replacement and they got it done in one day very little hassle neat and courteous staff and waiting area and it’s always my go to for my vehicle thank you again MDP. It was an amazing experience. Both Brian and James were very approachable and professional. I was able to openly discuss the problems with my car as well as the costs involved, and they took the time to explain everything clearly. After I left my car at their shop, they even escorted me home, which I truly appreciated. They also went out of their way to lend me a car while mine was being fixed. I enjoyed the loaner car. If that isn’t top-notch customer service, I honestly don’t know what is. I don’t think you’ll easily find this kind of experience anywhere else.

Recently had my vehicle serviced by MDP and would highly recommend them for any vehicle repair. They were very quick at diagnosing the problem, presented me with multiple quotes based on parts and warranties. They also let me know about other services my vehicle needed but didn’t pressure me into making those repairs. Also was very pleased with how friendly and well the staff communicated through out the process.

My 2005 Ford Super Duty is serviced almost exclusively by MDP. Knowledgeable service I know the job is done right and will keep my 20-year old truck running smoothly. MDP has performed exceptional service on my cars as well. I drive 20 miles to MDP but the piece of mind is worth it.

Great fast and friendly service, got my sister and me in for oil changes next day! Provided a tech report complete with pictures and videos, honest and upfront about services that are needed soon or can wait a bit. Prices are fair and better than other places I have been. Matt was excellent in explaining everything. Worth the drive from Chelsea, will visit again.

We were looking for a trustworthy neighborhood mechanic, something like the relationship we had with our previous shop, and MDP Diesel & Auto Tech Center delivered. I brought my car in mainly for a brake inspection and oil change. To my surprise, the brakes were still in great shape. Instead of selling me unnecessary work, they explained a few possible reasons for the noises I had been hearing and reassured me everything was safe. The technician also reviewed my car’s history and made thoughtful, practical recommendations for upcoming routine maintenance. Because they were upfront and clear, I was able to plan those items into my budget and keep my car roadworthy without any stress. Honest, knowledgeable, and easy to work with—MDP has definitely become our new go-to mechanic. Highly recommended!

Very professional shop. Delivered and charged exactly what was diagnosed and quoted in a very timely fashion. What convinced me, was the mechanic speaking to me directly and taking me into the shop to show the situation, while vehicle was on the hoist. I had a slow coolant leakage on my 2016 F150 3.5 Ecoboost at one of the turbo’s coolant fitting and line. It was explained well, that an overnight pressure test of the coolant system is needed to properly diagnose, the issue. Photos of the leak were in the report. Highly recommend this shop.

Service is great here. Staff try to get you in as soon as possible and do work same-day as often as is possible. The best part of the experience with MDP is the staff and owners – genuine and kind people who have proven trustworthy again and again over the years. Very responsive to any questions or issues that have ever come up. They really try to provide the best service in all ways.

I appreciated their professional service + same day turnaround for a spark plug issue I had. James who I spoke with at the front desk made the experience smooth. He gave clarity in the estimate and ordered service items in importance from only one must resolve to others that could be delayed, no pressure.
